Palo Alto Networks, the global cybersecurity leader, today announced Cortex Cloud SaaS Security, bringing SaaS security directly into the broader cloud security experience, unifying posture, identity, data, and AI security across SaaS and cloud environments. This integrated approach helps the connected enterprise safeguard applications against misconfigurations, AI risks and data exposure as the attack surface expands.
Modern enterprises operate across an increasingly interconnected ecosystem of SaaS applications, Cloud infrastructure, identities and sensitive data. AI agents and third-party integrations continue to deepen these connections, creating new pathways for attackers to exploit mis-configurations, excessive permissions and exposed resources. However, security remains fragmented across SaaS and Cloud environments, limiting visibility into how individual risks connect and where attackers could move next.
Siddharth Deshpande, Director of Industry Solutions, Asia Pacific and Japan, at Palo Alto Networks said, “As enterprises connect AI agents to their business applications, they also expand access to sensitive data and critical systems. An excessive permission or misconfiguration in one application can create exposure across connected environments. Security teams need to understand those relationships, identify which risks matter most and act quickly. Cortex Cloud SaaS Security brings SaaS and cloud risks into a unified view, helping organisations protect sensitive information and accelerate investigation and remediation through agentic AI workflows.”
