From May 2025, Broadcom Symantec has increasingly moved away from perpetual licencing towards strict, automated subscription-based models. As a result, many traditional licencing distributors have been offboarded and are undergoing a consolidation phase under Broadcom’s updated regional partner programme. Symantec enterprise solutions are now managed under Broadcom Inc through the online subscription model.

Alok Gupta, CEO, Softmart Solutions says, “Westcon, the last Broadcom distributor was terminated in August 2026 and there is no replacement distributor till today. Customers are unable to process order since last 2 months through the channel partner mode. Our existing Symantec customers are getting anxious and are panicking as they are unable to add new licences. Many of them are now exploring alternative solutions.”

The Broadcom Symantec website continues to feature resellers for the Broadcom Symantec products, although Westcon website is no longr active.
