ONGC and bp have signed a Technical Services Contract to enhance production from ONGC’s fields in the Western Offshore Basin (Arabian Sea), India’s most prolific offshore hydrocarbon region and a critical pillar of the nation’s energy security. This statement was circulated by the ONGC.

Building on the progress achieved at Mumbai High, the collaboration will bring advanced technologies, global expertise and focused interventions to improve recovery, enhance efficiency, moderate natural decline and sustain production from mature fields.

ONGC will retain complete ownership and operational control of the assets, said the statement.
